What’s green and made of meaner stuff? The world’s most exclusive Fabia vRS! To celebrate winning the manufacturer’s crown in the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge, Skoda is building 200 cars with identical liveries to the competition model.
The special also marks the firm’s motorsport centenary, and is the raciest Skoda ever made. Due to the extremely limited production run, only 20 right-hand-drive versions of the special vRS will come here. They’re due in the New Year.
Mechanically, the newcomer is exactly the same as the high-performance flagship – one of this year’s most advanced small cars. Its 1.4-litre petrol engine combines a supercharger and turbocharger to deliver an output of 178bhp – enough for a 0-62mph sprint time of only 7.3 seconds.
It goes on to a 139mph top speed. The special edition is expected to be priced at around £16,000. For more details click here.
